Weekday Fun

Wednesday night was the annual Republican Party fundraiser. This year it was at the Country Music Hall of Fame! 

It's such a pretty place and perfect for an event like this! There was a bunch of mingling and a man who played his guitar while singing Christmas songs..he was really good! Lots of lobbyists and people who are very generous to the Republican party during the year were there getting to meet the House members. Bill Haslam and Ron Ramsey were there as well.

 They both said a few things and back to mingling and eating mini bbq sandwiches! I'm not a fan..at all..of NASCAR but I DID exchange words with Darrell Waltrip who was there...my eyes were set on getting a picture with George Jones before he disappeared though! Yea, it didn't happen! haha. He disappeared. The evening was fun getting to chat with lots of people that Brent works with and people associated with the Republican party. 

                          Their tree was really tall and very pretty!


We just kind of snacked at the Hall or Fame so when we left we needed a little more grub. We decided to try the new Margaritaville...Jimmy Buffet's chain of restaurants.

 We got a seat by the front windows...great for people watching! The place is really fun inside and has beachy decor of course. We split the chicken quesadilla and the jalapeño mac and cheese. The quesadilla was really yummy. I love chipotle mac and cheese( esp the one at Tavern on Rush in Chicago which I will be having in February!!!) but we didn't really like the jalapeño one. It was super hot! The night was really fun though!
