Busy busy we have been!

We have been super busy over here at the Easley family! We moved into a new house on Friday and for those of you who have ever moved, you know life is a bit crazy living out of boxes and trying to find everything. We also don't get cable/Internet till Friday so I probably won't be back till I can get back on my computer! There is so much I can't wait to share...including my bump update pictures.

Maternity Clothes: Some tank tops and shirts. I can still fit into most of my tops comfortably and am wearing all my regular shorts( well size up from usual )all thanks to my belly band! Love that thing! **I do need to go buy a pair of maternity jeans. It's starting to cool down here in the evenings and I'll need a pair for the upcoming cooler months. I have one pair but need another!

Gender: GIRL!!!
Isla Wren Easley

Movement: I'm feeling her more and more each week.  I can feel her little kicks and can also feel her rolling. She is most active early in the morning and in the evenings. I think she sleeps a lot during the middle of the day.

Sleep: I'm sleeping great. No complaints.

What I miss: Just getting an uninterrupted night of sleep! I usually have to get up twice for bathroom trips.

Cravings: Anything chocolate-y and salad.

Symptoms: I am just moving slower in general. At one point over the weekend I had to ask Brent to wait up b/c I was slowly getting farther and farther behind while we were out walking somewhere!

Best Moment this week:  Getting a renter for our condo! AND Feeling baby Isla kicking.

{Weekend Update}

{Friday}
We celebrated our 3 year anniversary! I got to thinking and I guess we have started an anniversary tradition without realizing it. Each year we have gone out to eat at a place we hadn't been before. Soooo, I guess we will have the tradition of trying out a new restaurant each year!! I like that tradition! haha. We love going out to eat and especially trying new places. Friday night we headed to Sardinia Enoteca Ristorante. Brent picked it and it was so so good! It's by far the best Italian restaurant in Nashville and we have eaten at quite a few Italian places here. There is only one Italian restaurant that might be a tiny bit better and it's in Chicago! We started the meal with a margherita pizza. It was phenomenal. I had a salad with romaine lettuce, beets, cherry tomatoes, fresh slices of parmesan, and honey on top...delicious! And for our entrees, Brent had paccheri( a noodle a bit larger than a rigatoni noodle ) with meatballs and asparagus tips and I had rigatoni with sausage and peas. These were some of the best Italian dishes we had tasted. The meal was really enjoyable!
( it was dark in the restaurant so I tried to lighten the pics...not great quality )

After dinner we headed to an event at Cheekwood( our botanical gardens here in Nashville ). It's called LIGHT and is a pretty awesome display of all kinds of fiber optic creations designed by a man named Bruce Munro. I got a few pictures but they really don't do the exhibit justice!
Here are a few professional pics:

On the way home, we were craving something sweet so Brent ran into the store to grab a sweet treat and came out with all of this...
and yes, we had a little of each!

{Saturday}
We met my mom at a children's shoe store in Green Hills to 1. pick up Rowen and 2. my mom wanted to buy him a new pair of tennis shoes for the Fall. They measured his foot and he is wearing an 8 now! I couldn't believe it! He really is growing like a weed.
{they're similar to these...just different colors}

While Rowen napped, I went and picked up 2 lamps I had seen while I was out and about last week. They're going to go on our nightstands in our new master! I even got Brent's approval. He said I can't make our new room too girly! haha. The lamp bases are mercury glass which I am loving right now. They're tall and sleek too.
We did some odd and end things around the house and took Rowen to the zoo around 4pm. We decided to rent out our condo instead of selling it so we had 3 appointments lined up for Sunday which was super exciting since we need to get our place rented out before we move!

{Sunday}
After church we headed to brunch at Cheesecake Factory. We hadn't been there in a while and it was just as good as it always is. We each got something breakfast-y. Rowen sure did enjoy his pancake and fruit. That boy loves him some fruit!!
Before the second gal came and looked at our place, Brent and I pained our guest bathroom. It had primer on it and we just thought it would look a little better if we went ahead and put a coat of paint on it. I always love the idea of painting but after 20 minutes into it, I'm over it! I did however stick it out for the whole time this time.
I had to sit down and rest my legs and feet for a bit after our painting job.

The second gal who looked at our place gave us a deposit and said she wanted to rent it before leaving! Awesome feeling right there!! There is no way we could have afforded 2 mortgage payments and I'm so glad it didn't come down to the last few days before we moved.  Truly an answered prayer. Rowen and I hit up the grocery store while Brent showed our place and then we all just sat down and rested for a bit before meeting up with Brent's family to celebrate a few birthdays. It was definitely a full weekend filled with lots of fun things!!

**I'm pinning lots of stuff on Pinterest right now...especially for our new house and baby Isla's nursery. Follow me on PINTEREST HERE...if you want to!

{July Favorites}!

Well Hello August! I'd like to take a moment and reminisce about some of the fun things that happened in July here at the Easley house!

3 weeks of pregnancy passed...quickly! I definitely "popped out a bump" in July.

Rowen and I visited the Zoo almost weekly and made storytime @ the downtown library part of our weekly schedule as well. He loves both activities and I find them pretty fun too!

We decided on a name for baby girl!! We also got to see her in an ultrasound. She looked great and has super long legs :) I started looking at "Big Brother, Little Sister" items. This set is my favorite!! I will be ordering these.

Of course we went to the park numerous times. There is a small creek there and that's where Rowen heads for right when I get him out of the car! We had a few lunch "dates" too! Those are so fun and we will need to add a few in to this months schedule.

He does new things every day at this age and I just love watching his little brain work. He loves wearing around my or Brent's shoes. He has almost mastered using a fork! He uses one at every meal and has really gotten the hang of it in the past month. His smiles are infectious and I love that we have been blessed with a happy happy boy!

He loves reading and we sit down numerous times during the day to snuggle and read stories. His favorite books in July were The Napping House, any Thomas the Train book, and The Water Hole.

July was a great month for our family and I'm sure August will be even better...we have some BIG things coming up this month!!
