Washi tape & Chalkboard paint Easter Eggs! {tutorials}

I got in the Easter egg spirit yesterday and decided to gather up some items to create some unique Easter Eggs! Since I have made a few things lately with Washi tape, I decided to make Washi tape Easter eggs and I had a bottle of chalkboard paint from creating a chalkboard paint platter last weekend( I'll post that soon! ) so I decided to go buy some light blue paint for the chalkboard paint Easter eggs! I had a lot of fun making them and really like how they turned out. They were super easy so there is not much to the tutorials. Enjoy!

I headed to Michael's and bought 3 packs of pretty tape. They came 2 to a pack and were 40% off! Love when stuff is on sale! I picked colors that were Springy and some that I just like the look of.

After I hard boiled my eggs and let them cool, I took some of the tape and just started wrapping it around. I did some vertically and some horizontally. And then I also mixed and matched some of the tape on some of the eggs. You can pretty much do any kind of design that you want. How do you like them? I think they're quite neat looking!

and now to the chalkboard paint eggs...

I started by giving the eggs one coat of paint. They dried for about 20 minutes or so and then I gave them a second coat. After the second coat dried, I took my chalk and drew some designs on the eggs! Fun, huh?! If you want to change your design, you just wipe the chalk off with your hand or with a soft cloth. And there you go...chalkboard painted eggs!

Loving, Loving, and a giveaway winner!

It's that time of the week again...linking up with Jaime for WILW

I'm LOVING...
this little suit that my Granny and Papa sent to Rowen for Springtime! It's just about the cutest thing!
He looks like such a big boy! A very cute big boy!

I'm LOVING...
this Chobani yogurt!

Coffee and Chocolate...what's not to love?

It tastes just like I though it would. If you have had any of Chobani's flavors before, you know that it's a little tangy. This one is no different. But the hint of coffee and chocolate take away a lot of the tangyness. It's probably my new favorite flavor!!

I'm LOVING...
that a local toy store has a huge bunny display for Easter. Rowen and I stopped by a few days ago to check them out. I love this toy store. The toys they have are so cool. It's definitely the place to get unique toys!
Most of the bunnies were napping when we were there. There were a few that actually hopped right up to Rowen though. He loved that! they had a huge area to roam around in and had a bunny castle too.

He liked the bunnies but LOVED all the train stuff...train tables, every kind of Thomas the Train you could imagine, and train tracks with numerous trains running around at the same time.

I love his face in this picture!

He spotted a huge American flag hanging from the ceiling! He loves flags or anything that flies around in the air( like kites ).

I'm LOVING...
how true this is!! haha.
Where is Spring?! It snowed here yesterday and is currently 35 degrees. Ugh! At least it's sunny and is going to climb to 50. I can't wait till it's 70 degrees and we can wear shorts around here!

**Thank you everyone who entered the giveaway! Here are the WINNERS! Yes, that's right 3 winners were chosen :)

A Pinterest idea you should try!!

My mother in law had made one of these the other day. She brought it over to have for lunch while she was going to be watching Rowen. Her friend told her that she saw the idea on Pinterest. What's NOT on Pinterest?!! I decided to try one for myself. This would be a great thing to make one sunday night. Fix 4 or 5 of these and have them ready to grab for lunch each day!

I gathered up all my ingredients and put my salad jar together in about 5 minutes. You pour your dressing in first then add veggies that won't get soggy. I put carrots in first followed by celery, broccoli, and then tomato.

I topped it off with my greens.  Then just screw the lid on and pop it in the fridge! I used a large mason jar which made a huge salad!! I would suggest using the small ones. Give it a try. I would love to hear what combinations you come up with.

My Weekend.

I would have written this yesterday but my computer got a little virus somehow and we are having to send it off today. I hope it's back really soon! So I had to type this on Brent's computer and I had to wait till he was done with work stuff AND he had a lot of stuff to do when he got home last night. Anyways...here is what the weekend looked like!

{Friday}
It was the much anticipated Nashville Blogger Night!

We had 6 girls confirmed for dinner....it ended up being me and Ashley! haha. We had ourselves a little "blate"( blogger date )!

 A few girls cancelled last minute b/c of other plans, one was sick, and one just didn't show. But that didn't stop Ashley and I from having a great dinner and a lovely conversation about husbands, kids, favorite things, etc...etc...We went to Bricktops. They have delicious food!! I had part of a sushi roll and the parmesan crusted chicken with whipped potatoes and sauteed spinach. It was sooooo good! I am wanting to go back really soon and eat that exact meal again. Ashley had the other part of the sushi roll and soup.  It was so great to get to meet a blogger here in the same town as me and lots of things in our lives are really similar. Can't wait to have another blogger night when some of the other ladies can come.

{Saturday}
My friend Meredith and I along with our husbands hosted a couples shower for our lovely friend and her fiance. Kate and Brandon are getting married April 20th and I'm so excited for her wedding!!

We chose to decorate based off of the invitations banners and bright colors. I love bright colored flowers and I actually found quite a few brightly colored Gerber Daisies. Love those!

Rowen spent the night out at his Bebe and D-daddy's house in Lebanon so Brent and I headed to dinner Saturday night at a Mexican place we have been wanting to try for a while. Alegria is a fairly new Mexican restaurant in Green Hills and it definitely didn't disappoint! I usually judge a Mexican place off of their chips and salsa. This place had fab chips and the salsa was super fresh and tasted yummy.
The guacamole was pretty fantastic too.

After dinner we went and met some friends at the Patterson House to visit for a little bit AND Connie Britton was there! Yep, Mrs Rayna Jaymes herself :) I love seeing stars out and about at local spots here in Nashville.

{Sunday}
I helped my mom clean some rooms in their sold house and move a few loads of stuff to the new house. My dad was at work so I thought I should help my mom get some of the small stuff moved. They had movers come last Thursday but now they are having to pack up all the small stuff and make trips to unload it at the new house which is only about 8 miles away.

I got home just in time to play with Rowen a little before we feed him dinner. I gave him a little snack...his favorites, cheddar bunnies...while he watched some Sprout.

Brent got a new cookbook( he watches a show sometimes on one of the cooking channels and saw they had a cookbook )and he tried out the first recipe from it Sunday night. Tex Mex stuffed peppers. They were really good! They were stuffed with ground turkey, rice, chipotles, corn, onions, and maybe a couple other things.
We had a busy but very enjoyable weekend. Hope y'all did too!!

I'm LOVING...
this giveaway I have going on! Make sure to enter. I would love to win this and I am sure you would too!!

a Rafflecopter giveaway
The original post is HERE if you want to check it out.

I'm LOVING...
these bunny sunglasses I got Rowen for Easter! Yes, they were in his Easter basket but I just had to open them and try them on him. haha! They are so funny and made me laugh so hard. He actually liked having them on which made it even more funny. Cute, huh?!

I'm LOVING...
the sandwich I had for lunch yesterday!...pepperoni and mozzarella grilled cheese. Why hadn't I thought of this combination before?? It was so yummy!!

I'm LOVING...
these 2 products. I have only had samples of them but was really impressed with the foundation and thought the fragrance smells like a wonderful summery day. I am not big on liquid foundation but if I were to need some, I really like this one by Channel. The Kate Spade fragrance smells similar to Michael Kors' Hollywood. I probably won't buy it but it does smell really nice.

I'm LOVING...
all of Rowen's blossoming personalities. He's becoming very adventurous, curious about everything, he's very chill at times, and has tremendous energy too. I love this age and just want to freeze it!

I'm LOVING...
these words.
Build A Happy Home.

Happy Wednesday!!
