Happy...

Happy Halloween AND Happy Birthday to my beautiful cousin, Rebekah! Rebekah lives in Indianapolis but is in college right now at Harding University in Arkansas.

This is at her brother, Daniel's( also my cousin ), wedding in July of this year.

She is such a beautiful lady on the inside and out. I'm glad that she is my cousin! She is majoring in fashion merchandising... or one of those fashion majors that I actually thought about at one point in college! Good luck the rest of the semester, Rebekah. See you at Christmas!!

This is at my wedding in August of this year!
Hope you had a Happy Birthday, Rebekah!

AND Happy Halloween! This is the last week that Brent will be out of town...yay. Actually he gets back Wednesday. He wasn't in town this past weekend so we didn't do anything for Halloween. I did go over to my parents house this evening to hang out with them and help hand out candy to the trick or treaters...most of the "kids" of the neighborhood are teenagers or are in college now so it was kind of disappointing!! We literally had about 10 kids.

My mom always decorates the driveway cute and lines it with those lantern bags...

My dad is a Baltimore Ravens fan so this was his pumkin this year
pretty sweet!

I always carve a pumpkin. I think it's so much fun and I just loved doing it but I took a nap after church this afternoon and didn't wake up in time! By the time I got over to my parents house, it was almost dark so I decided that I probably wouldn't get it done in time. I'll make up for it next year!

And here are my Halloween kitties :)

And Phoebe

Hope everyone had a fun and safe day! Have a great start to the week!!

Just 8 more days

November 2nd is Election Day but is also known(to me) as "Brent FINALLY gets to come home for good" day!! I have mentioned it before but Brent left for Paris, TN at the end of September to help a candidate who is running for a representative spot. Obviously they needed the best person over there to help them get the win! :) So he is in Paris, TN Monday-Friday and he usually comes back early afternoon on Saturday. We basically get to spend a day and a half together each week...So come on Election Day! Speaking of...have you voted yet??
                                                HaHa!

Brent and I went and voted last Monday. I love the feeling of walking up to the voting machine, reading over the ballot, and getting to vote for what/who you believe in( and by "believe in" I obviously mean believe in who will do the best for whatever job it is regarding)!!. I don't know why I get that feeling but I hope others get that feeling too!
Make sure to go vote. You have the right as an American and it's a wonderful privilege!

There's my "I'm proud to be an American" blurb for the day :)

--Pumpkins & Preds--

Saturday was a wonderful Fall day! Brent and I spent the day relaxing and enjoying life together! We decided to go to Farmers Market and check out the pumpkins and the mums. We were planning on getting some for our balcony and then will probably carve the pumpkins for Halloween! I have never seen so many mums in my whole life! There were rows and rows to choose from. We got 2 pumpkins and 2 mums. A yellow one and a dark purpley red one!

We loved looking at all the shapes and sizes of the pumpkins...we decided on a tall, skinny one and a short, very round one. Our balcony looks very Fall-ish now!

After roaming around Farmers Market for awhile, we rushed home and got ready. We were headed to the...Predators game. Yay! We love to go to the hockey games. Last night's game was a good one! The Predators played the Washington Capitals.

                                  Preds vs Caps
(The game made me think of one of my best friends, Robin :) She lives in DC.)
So the game was super exciting and very intense!! We ended up losing 3-2 in overtime..boo! It was still a great time though! This is I'm sure the first game of a few that we will make it to this year!!

After the game, we decided to have a little tourist moment so we walked around for a bit and had a mini photo shoot:

                                          Union Station

                                        Broadway..haha!

                                  Have a Magnificent Monday!

T.S.C.

T.S.C. = Tennessee State Capitol haha

We have got some fun facts and fun pictures about/of the beautiful State Capitol!

Did you know?...
* it is the home of the Tennessee legislature and the location of the governor's office
* it is one of only eleven state capitols (along with DelawareHawaii,LouisianaNew MexicoNew YorkNorth DakotaOhioOregonAlaska and Virginia) that does not feature a dome!
This picture was taken by our wedding photographer at our reception :)

* The State Capitol was designed by renowned Philadelphia architect William Strickland, who modeled it after a Greek Ionic temple. Strickland died five years before the building's completion and was entombed in its northeast wall!!
*Both the interior and exterior are built with limestone from a quarry about 1 mile (1.6 km) from the site.

We were so excited to get to have our wedding reception at the Capitol. It's a beautiful building!

We hope you enjoyed the fun facts and the pictures of Tennessee's lovely State Capitol!!
