Maternity Clothes: Not yet( I could be but I'm choosing not to! ). Right now I'm wearing a size up from what I wore pre-pregnancy and it's working out great and I'm still able to wear cute clothes! My belly band is used a lot!

Gender: ??? We scheduled our anatomy appointment and it's on July 15th.
Just a few weeks away!

Movement: Not yet. I feel like it's going to be soon though. I can't wait!

Sleep: I'm sleeping great. No complaints.

What I miss: Nothing really

Cravings: Starbucks frappuccinos. I crave them every day! I definitely don't get one every day but they sound so good all the time!

Symptoms: Nothing too notable. My legs get really achy when I run and it's still so early in my pregnancy that I hate that's happening already.

Best Moment this week:  Getting to hear baby Easley's heartbeat! It was in the 170's and very strong. Our next appointment is when we will find out the gender!!

Here's a little look at weeks 11-16...

Life Lately

This post is going to be filled with lots of random things! That's ok, right?!

To start,  Rowen LOVES donuts. I mean who doesn't love a donut now and then? He squealed when I asked him yesterday if he wanted to go get donuts and he ran straight to the door!

We are leaving for the beach in 2 days! 2 days! I can't wait. The drive is definitely not my favorite thing. 9+ hours in a car = me not excited! But the final destination is worth it. I got a new hat that I had been eyeing for a while by Volunteer Traditions and some new Emi-Jay type hairbands from Anthropologie.

The hat is seersucker...love! And it's a Tennessee hat...that circle with the 3 stars are in the middle of our state flag. Love Volunteer Traditions stuff. Does anyone else love wearing state stuff?! I love TN gear! And you can never have enough Emi-Jay hairbands. I especially love the sparkly one...of course!
I also bought this bathing suit for the trip. I saw this on VS's website and just had to get it for my love of lemon yellow this summer!
{a lemon bathing suit!}

I had a doctor's app on Monday morning and the baby's heartbeat is strong and in the 170's. I pray that the baby continues to thrive and become as strong and healthy as he/she can be!
{ June 24 }

Whether or not you keep up with hockey, you prob heard that the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup a few days ago which means that the cup will be heading to Chicago this weekend and the city will be filled with crazy energy! They'll have a parade and the cup will make an appearance. It will actually pop up all around the city during the weekend. I know all of this because 3 years ago when they won, my girlfriends and I were in Chicago and got to witness all of that!! We were there for my Bachelorette Weekend which happened to also be when the cup was coming to the city. We went to the parade and actually happened to be at the right place at the right time quite a few times to see it again and again. We saw it at the Cubs game as well. That weekend was one of the most fun weekends ever! Chicago is a blast but being there with all those happy happy fans made it even better!! haha.

Rowen is such a cuite...always! He does new things every week that just amaze me. One thing that he loves to do right now is get me to turn my phone;s camera on where he can see himself. He is so goofy! When he sees himself in it, he'll make goofy faces or just giggle and giggle which makes me laugh hysterically. All in all, it's a pretty fun time for both of us.

I'll be posting my 17 week update tomorrow so make sure to check that out! Baby is definitely growing. Also, if you want to keep up with us( See lots of PICTURES!  during our beach vacation make sure you follow me on INSTAGRAM HERE! or Follow on TWITTER HERE!

Homemade Buffalo Chicken Salad!

I love making buffalo and bbq chicken salad. They are both so easy and taste delicious. Last night I made buffalo chicken salad for dinner. I thought I would share the quick and easy recipe in case anyone wants to try it soon. A great buffalo chicken salad starts with a great buffalo sauce. My buffalo sauce of choice is Sweet Baby Ray's!

It has a yummy flavor. It's not too hot but has the right amount of kick!

I cut up 2 chicken breasts into strips and put them in a bag with some buffalo sauce to marinade for 10-15 minutes. I then threw them in a pan on top of the stove with the sauce they had been marinating in. I put a lid on the pan and cooked them for 8-10 minutes. They cooked pretty quickly since they were cut into strips. While the chicken was cooking, I prepared the salad...
I used an iceberg blend and some green leaf lettuce. Cut those up and put them on plates. Then I chopped up tomatoes, carrots, and black olives and placed those on the lettuce. Next I added fresh corn cooked and cut off of the cob, bacon pieces, and mild cheddar cheese.

Lastly, I shredded the chicken and placed it on the salad. I even poured a little of the buffalo sauce that it cooked in over top the chicken.

Pour on ranch or blue cheese dressing and you have a nice size salad for dinner! Or lunch! It only took about 10 minutes once the chicken hit the pan. Quick, easy, and delicious.

My birthday weekend!

I love birthdays! Friday was my birthday and it was such a nice day. My grandparents came in to visit for the weekend which was a nice treat! Before they arrived, Rowen and I headed over to my parents house to do some last minute cleaning.

My grandparents arrived around 1:30pm and we hung out for a few hours before I headed off to meet up with Brent( who had to work all day ).

Brent and I are house hunting right now so we checked out 2 houses that afternoon before heading home to get ready for my birthday dinner which was a surprise!
We went to Sperry's and it was super delicious! I got the bbq shrimp and grits and they were hands down the best shrimp and grits that I have ever had!! Brent got a yummy looking steak with blue cheese on top. Before leaving, an employee  there took our picture and made a birthday card for me. It was thoughtful and kind of weird at the same time!
We got dessert from Cheesecake Factory and headed home to watch a movie.

Saturday we celebrated my birthday with my family. I requested my mom's bbq b/c it's delicious. Rowen really enjoyed his corn on the cob. This is the first time we let him have the whole cob and it was pretty hilarious!

We had my 2 favorite desserts...real strawberry cake and brownies from Corky's! Yum!!

I received lots and lots of wonderful gifts. I already have my eye on a few things that I am going to spend my birthday money on! Here are a few of my gifts...
{new jewelry, an H&M giftcard, and some new shirts for my growing baby bump}

It was a great weekend and I had a fabulous birthday!

And here's a little comparison from 15 weeks back in 2011 when I was pregnant w/Rowen and 15 weeks today in 2013...
Well, I can say that I can take a much better picture now a days! haha. What an awful looking picture in 2011! Goodness. And you can see that my bump is a bit bigger now than it was with my first. I love taking pictures of each week. What sweet memories to look back on!

{Lemon Yellow} My favorite items.

My first lemon yellow purchase of the season was this bauble necklace...

You can read the post it was in HERE.

The necklace inspired me to write a post about my favorite summer color for 2013...that's right, lemon yellow! So here are some of my favorite items in this fun, summery, cheerful color!!

1. Limoncello Bath and Body Works candle. Have you smelt this candle?! Run to your local B&BW store if you haven't. It smells so yummy! A perfect summer scent!
2. This adorable collar necklace is on Etsy. I love the splash of yellow and the delicate ribbon tie.
3.  OPI nail polish in Need Sunglasses. I would probably wear this bright shade on my toenails. I have a yellow and white stripe bikini that would match perfectly.
4. Bright sunny pig succulent planter. You can find this on Etsy. How adorable is that little pig?!
5. Anthropologie Pomflora Pouch.  I love this!! And I prefer carrying a pouch or clutch far more than a huge purse.
6. Multi chain necklace. You can never have too many multi chain necklaces. They go with everything.
6. Yellow stripe straws.  Ever since I used these( in orange )for Rowen's first birthday, I have loved them! Imagine a fun summer bbq with these for your guests drinks. How fun!

What's your favorite summer color?!

14 week bump update

I have felt great this week...a little more tired than I have been lately but I think that's because I'm back to working out a few times a week. We had a dr visit on Tuesday and everything looked great.

How Far Along:  14 weeks

Size of baby: Baby Easley is the size of a lemon.  She/He is 3.4" long and weighs 1.5 ounces.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet. I have bought a few items in a size up from what I normally wear so I can stay in cute regular clothes. I pretty much hate maternity wear except for the tank tops.

Gender: ??? We scheduled our anatomy appointment and it's on July 15th. It seems like so far away even though it's just a little over a month.

Movement: Not yet.

Sleep: I'm sleeping ok. I've had a few nights this week where I have just tossed and turned for what seemed like the whole night. Hopefully that won't continue.

What I miss: Nothing really.

Cravings: cantaloupe, fruit tea, and ice cream. I'm trying not to eat too much of the ice cream!

Symptoms: I have a bit of lower back soreness after running but its not bad enough to keep me from exercising.

Best Moment this week:  Hearing the baby's heartbeat! It was a strong 160 at Tuesday's appointment.

{life lately}

Well hello little blog! It's been almost a week since I last posted. I've been tired and busy! I'll be posting much more in the near future. So here's what been going on lately...

I'm slightly obsessed with lemon yellow everything. I have decided it's going to be my summer color. I got this necklace yesterday and looking at it just makes me smile. Yellow is such a happy color!

I'll post some of my fav{ lemon yellow }items soon.

Rowen and Sarah had a play date at the zoo last week. I'm pretty sure they enjoyed each others company. Angie and I got to catch up which was really nice too! Rowen loves being around other children. He always has a blast when he is around other littles.

I went to a sweet baby shower brunch last Saturday for a lovely friend. It was a Table 3 which was a perfect place for the shower. They have a pretty room that the hostesses used and they did a wonderful job decorating. There were beautiful flowers on each of the  tables and a cute chalkboard sign...wish I had taken a picture of that! Lindsay is due on July 4th with a baby girl. She looked amazing...radiant and beautiful!

I bought baby Charlotte a monogrammed gown from one of my favorite baby stores and an Oball rattle. Rowen has one of those and he loved it when he was smaller. I can't wait to meet baby Charlotte!

Two of my favorite drinks right now that I don't think I could live without(haha!)are Sonic cherry limeades and fruit tea! Both of those drinks always hit the spot.

And I of course have to share Rowen's cute little t-shits that came in the mail yesterday! Ashley over @ Pumpkin Butter Kids is amazing at what she does and always creates the cutest items for every season! Check her out HERE if you want to see more of her cute creations.

Squeal! I adore these shirts!!
