We decided on a name for baby girl Easley!

After weeks of going over names, names, and more names we came to a decision on Friday and announced it to family and friends...and on Facebook and Instagram of course! This name was actually picked out over 2 years ago before we knew if Rowen was going to be a boy or a girl. So after going over lots of names we ended up coming back to a name we picked out years ago and we LOVE it!

I just love looking at it. And in case you were unsure of how to pronounce it...it's {eye-la}.
Our little one has a name now which makes this pregnancy even more real!

21 week bump update!

How Far Along: 21 weeks

Size of baby: Baby Easley is the size of a large carrot and a pomegranate She is 10.5" long and weighs 12.7 ounces. So my go-to site said baby girl is the size of a pomegranate this week. After going to 3 grocery stores and finding no pomegranates, I looked at another site that said she is the height of a large carrot...so I went with it! I was super sure Whole Foods would have pomegranates but they were sold out and weren't expecting to get a shipment in till this afternoon. Oh well!

Maternity Clothes: Some tank tops and shirts. I can still fit into most of my tops comfortably and am wearing all my regular shorts( well size up from usual )all thanks to my belly band! Love that thing!

Gender: GIRL!!!
We had an ultrasound on Tuesday and got a confirmation that she is still indeed a girl!

Movement: I'm feeling her more and more each week. She is really active in the evenings and after I eat meals. Love feeling her and really can't wait for that first kick!

Sleep: I'm sleeping great. No complaints.

What I miss: Drinking numerous cups of coffee everyday or getting a Venti @ Starbucks! Drinking that much coffee everyday probably wasn't a good thing so it's nice that I am taking a break from that for a few more months but I miss it!

Cravings: No notable cravings this week.

Symptoms: It's already taking a lot of effort to roll over at night...ugh!

Best Moment this week:  Getting to see our girl last Tuesday in our ultrasound!

What I'm loving Wednesday{baby girl easley edition}

I have spent the past few nights perusing around the internet looking at cribs, bedding, decor, etc etc...for our little girl who will be here in about 19 weeks or so!! I have given Brent a deadline of Friday to have decided on one of the names we have picked out for her so that we can start calling her by her name!! I'm so ready for that. Here are some of my favorite accessories, furniture items, and decorations...

I'm LOVING...
these adorable white cribs. Rowen had/has brown furniture in his room but there is just something so cute and girly about white furniture!
I have actually found some good deals on line and am going to go check out a few local wholesale furniture stores in the near future.

I'm LOVING...
these adorable little headbands that are all over Etsy! There are so many to look at...I got lost in headband world for a good half hour last night!

I'm LOVING...
these monthly onesie stickers. I did these with Rowen and they worked out great! I'm not sure if I will get the stickers again or go a whole different route with the monthly signs...I have a few ideas if I decide not to go with the stickers. But look how cute these are!

I'm LOVING...
this big brother/little sister set!! I WILL be getting these! They can wear them for some pics in the hospital and then of course can sport them around after.

and speaking of brother/sister...
I'm LOVING...
these sibling plaques from PBK. I mean, they are just too sweet.

And I'm LOVING...
these shabby/rustic looking frames. I definitely am wanting some frames in baby girl's room. A trip to Hobby Lobby for cheap frames and spray paint need to happen before she gets here!
Those are my loves for today! Happy Wednesday!

20 week bump update

How Far Along: 20 weeks

Size of baby: Baby Easley is the size of a bananaShe is 6.5" long and weighs 10.2 ounces.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet( I could be but I'm choosing not to! ). Right now I'm wearing a size up from what I wore pre-pregnancy and it's working out great and I'm still able to wear cute clothes! My belly band is used a lot!

Gender: GIRL!!!
Soooo, I had my anatomy ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday but I was late so I had to re-schedule it for this Tuesday( missed my exit off the interstate and it took me too long to get back to where I needed to be)!  If we didn't already know what we were having, I would have been super sad but it's all ok. Just can't wait to see her on Tuesday!

Movement: A little more than last week especially in the evenings. I'm feeling those little twitches and bubbles here and there. I can't wait to feel her kick!

Sleep: I'm sleeping great. No complaints.

What I miss: Nothing really.

Cravings: Iced coffee and donuts still and add pasta...any kind! I have had many more cravings this time around than I did with Rowen.

Symptoms: Nothing right now.

Best Moment this week:  Feeling baby girl move around more in the evenings AND being halfway through this pregnancy!

And here's a little comparison...

{ this week so far...in pictures! }

This week has been busy busy! Lots of stuff going on here @ the Easley house. All good! Here's some fun stuff that has been going on...in pictures!

-Our fridge went out late Saturday night  so Rowen and I headed out for a lunch date Monday afternoon. Bread & Co is always a good choice! Our fridge got fixed so no worries.

-Brent got a sweet tooth Monday night and I jumped on board and said banana pudding sounded really good! Ya know, the REAL kind!! So he headed off to Loveless Cafe and brought back 2 nice size servings. It was delicious!!

-We headed to the Zoo Tuesday morning to meet my sister in law and nephews. As you can see, Rowen was excited! He loves the Zoo and loves hanging out with his cousins. The trip obviously wore him out b/c he ended up taking a 3 hour nap when we got home!

-Publix has delicious baked goods, especially muffins! Rowen loves the blueberry ones and so do both Brent and I. Lately after breakfast he gets out of his chair and runs straight to his Pottery Barn chair, plops down, and starts "reading book". It's quite cute! I love watching his eyes as he flips through the pages! He has so many little expressions.

-While Rowen has been napping the past couple days, I have been getting his old clothes ready for an upcoming consignment sale! Since we are having a baby girl, we don't need his old clothes. I am definitely saving quite a few things...mainly b/c they have good memories and I just can't part with them! I have signed up to consign in 3 sales this time around and yes, I have plenty of items for all of them!

-Since Rowen discovered how fun it is to throw rocks in the creek at the park last week, that's all he wants to do when we go! Forget the swings and slides, it's all about the rocks! haha. We headed there this morning and he spent the entire 30 minutes hunting down rocks and throwing them in the water. Hey, it's fun to him and that's all that matters!

And I'll leave y'all with a precious picture...at least I think it's precious. When he needs to take a little break from his toys, he likes to rest in his chair...
Sweet boy!!

I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow! Half.Way.There!!! That's crazy to me. It really is flying by. So look for that post tomorrow. Enjoy your Thursday, y'all!

{Five on Friday!!}

I'm linking up with Darci for Five on Friday today! I'm going to share 5 of my favorite things/things I'm excited about!

{1}Salads!
I have been loving loving salads lately! We eat salad as part of our dinner every night but I have been creating  different yummy ones for lunch! This has been one of my favorites lately!
BBQ chicken salad. I have had this for lunch 3 time this week!

I'm wanting to try these 2 salads soon-

{2}Baby Girl's Nursery
I have been thinking a lot about what kind of nursery I want to have for our little girl and I am leaning towards a shabby chic nursery. I love everything I have been finding. I would love to have teal and pink be the main colors with maybe some accents of light grey or light yellow. Nothing is definite yet but here are some ideas I have pinned on Pinterest...

{3}Cocktail attire
It's the annual Statesman's Dinner tonight here in Nashville and I was dreading having to find a cocktail dress to fit my 19 week pregnant body! Before I headed to a pregnancy store( which I really don't care for )I stopped by a store down the street from us and found something! It's cute and my bump fits perfectly in it!
I'll have to take a full picture tonight when I get all ready.

{4}Roast
Brent fixed a yummy roast Monday night and I thought I would share the recipe! It came from a McCormick's seasoning packet. Slow Cookers-Savory Pot Roast was the exact packet.

{5}Smiles
I know I am biased but I think my sweet Rowen has the cutest smiles of any 20 month old around! I love to make him laugh and I enjoy taking him to do lots of activities that make him happy!

**make sure to check out my 19 week bump update HERE!

19 week bump update {and some other stuff}

First things first! In case you missed it, we found out what we are having Friday June, 28th. We scheduled an appointment at a 4D ultrasound place in hopes that we would be able to find out( I was 17 weeks that day ). Baby cooperated and we were ecstatic to find out that it's a GIRL!!

When we went in to the appointment I was feeling like it was a girl. I really don't know exactly why...it was just a feeling. When she showed the heartbeat, it was 158bpm. Then my mind began to stir like crazy b/c at the previous app at the drs office, the heartbeat had been in the 170's! Even though it was a bit lower, I still had that gut feeling that it was a girl. I tried to look around on the HUGE screen for something that would indicate if it were a boy or a girl but I honestly had no clue what I was looking at until she started telling us the parts and then I knew what we were looking at. She slipped at one point and said let's see if we can get "her" then there was a huge pause and then she said OR "him" to move a little. She had this huge grin on her face...a grin that said "oops, I let it slip already!". It was funny and I was laughing! At that point Brent and I looked at each other and just new. We were excitedly asking her " wait you said girl! Is it a girl? Do you know??!" She said she was 90% sure but just needed the baby's legs to move out of the criss cross position. And they did and it was a girl!! We are so excited and feel so blessed to be given the chance to raise a girl along with our sweet boy!!

How Far Along: 19 weeks

Size of baby: Baby Easley is the size of a mangoShe is 6" long and weighs 8.5 ounces.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet( I could be but I'm choosing not to! ). Right now I'm wearing a size up from what I wore pre-pregnancy and it's working out great and I'm still able to wear cute clothes! My belly band is used a lot!

Gender: GIRL!!! We still have our anatomy appointment at the drs office  and it's on July 15th. Can't wait to see her again!

Movement: A little. I'm feeling those little twitches and bubbles here and there. I can't wait to feel her kick!

Sleep: I'm sleeping great. No complaints.

What I miss: Nothing really

Cravings: Iced coffee and donuts! I get lots of decaf iced coffee and and NOT lots of donuts! I'm trying to not gain as much weight as when I was pregnant w/Rowen. They are so tempting because there is a Dunkin Donuts literally 5 minutes away. No good! haha.

Symptoms: Nothing major. I can tell I am starting to get out of breathe already when I go for a jog/walk or when we got to the park for a while. This didn't happen to me till around the middle of the 3rd trimester or so the first time around. But like everyone says, everything happens a bit quicker the second time around! And it's true.

Best Moment this week:  Feeling baby girl for the first time.

I'm going to write about our trip later this week but wanted to go ahead and share some of my favorite pictures from last week!
