Yesterday was a fun day! I did a few fun crafty things while Rowen napped and he and I headed to the park to enjoy the sunshine even though it was a little chilly yesterday afternoon. I saw this little heart nail stencil DIY on Sami Shenanigans blog last week and just new I had to try it!
I took a piece of painters tape and folded it. I cut a little heart out along the edge of the folded part. I then took the heart piece out and unfolded the tape and placed the heart in the middle of my thumb nail. Once I had it pressed down, I painted the heart! I painted 2 coats but probably could have gotten away with just one coat. I rushed the drying process and pulled it off a little too soon so I had to fix part of it with the end of a chop stick. So make sure it's good and dry before you peel the tape off. It was so easy and fun to do!!
So you know how fishtail braids have circled back around and are popular again now?? Hello, 1995! Well, I gave it a shot yesterday and was a bit proud of myself for remembering how to do it and it actually didn't look as bad as I thought it might!
Yesterday was a beautiful day in Nashville. The high was 55 and the sun was shining bright. If it isn't freezing cold outside, I like to get out and at least get some fresh air and I know Rowen enjoys it too. Even on cold days I like to take Rowen to go and do at least one thing outside of the house a few times a week. Well we headed to the park and enjoyed the sun on our faces!
{Love those rays!}
{The sky was such a beautiful shade of blue}
I'm Linking up with Lauren and Tiffany today for Tuesday Topics...4 things people don't know about you.

4 Things People Don't Know About Me...well my family and friends will know most to all of these but my bloggy friends don't!
.
1. I'm an only child. Yep, no brothers or sister. I actually loved it! I had so many friends in the neighborhood, at school, and at church that I never got lonely or bored. I got to do many many things that I probably wouldn't have gotten to do if I had had siblings. Traveling, vacations, a new car at 18, piano lessons, art clasess, girl scouts, I got the biggest bedroom in the house and didn't have to fight anyone for it...the list could go on and on. I liked it just being the 3 of us( my mom. my dad, and I )!

2. I, along with my other relay team members on the track team, set all 3 sprint relay records my senior year of high school. When I graduated, I held 3 school records in track! I was on the track team all 4 years of high school and ran in all 3 of the sprint relays( 4x1, 4x2, & 4x4 ). I loved track and am so very thankful that I was blessed with speed back in the day!

3. I LOVE sequins. If it has sequins on it, I'll take it! haha. I have so many sparkly shirts and dresses in my closet...it's a little much. What can I say?...I like to sparkle and shine!

4. I have never had a dog as a pet! I have only had cats. My mom brought home a kitten when I was 4 and I had Whiskers until I was 18. She was my only pet growing up. Brent and I have a little cat named Phoebe. When we get a yard( fingers crossed within the next year ), we are getting Rowen a dog!! I can't wait. He loves dogs so much. It will be an exciting time!

I am loving your blog Rachel! The nails look awesome, love your polka dot chambray, and Rowen is too cute. And I love me some e-cards...too funny :)
