.:Make Cookies Monday:.

I'm linking up with Meredith over at The Tichenor Family for "Make Cookies Monday" today!

I pinned a cookie recipe over the weekend and thought I would give it a try today! It wasn't a fail but mine don't look like the picture! haha. I guess it's mostly about how they taste and they taste good! If you don't like the flavor of mint then you won't like this recipe. I however love mint...esp mint chocolate chip ice cream. These cookies were meant to taste like that.

The longest part of this baking adventure was peeling the wrapper off of all the mints! It took almost as long as the cookies took to bake! My cute little helper was asleep when I made the cookies tonight. I'm sure he will enjoy tasting the final product at some point tomorrow though!!

Once all the dough was mixed up, the Andes mints got thrown in and it really did look like mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Mine didn't turn out the same color as the gals whose recipe I used. It might have been b/c I used gel food coloring instead of the liquid. I already had the gel coloring at home so I just figured that would work. And also I probably needed to add a touch more. Anyways, like I said they taste good and minty! Find the recipe HERE.

I just had to use my little heart cookie cutter too. Those turned out cute and they're bite size.

  2. Those look delicious! Andes mints are a personal favorite of mine. Try them out of the freezer for a real treat. Love how you made your cookies heart-shaped! Bite sized cookies are the best because you can eat more.
